Special
notes:
Do not pack fonts in suitcases. We cannot access
them.
Quark files are accepted but will be converted to Illustrator
by the platemaker. The reworking of files and the conversion
process can cause text to reflow.
Please indicate the program you used and
the file type you saved it as.
Include a color proof of your job or a separated
black & white.
Send all linked files and all fonts with

Suggestions
on file sizes (how to figure resolution):
Print quality is directly related to the amount
of data, or file size, provided on your disk.
We prefer to have the original, native file
whenever it is possible. For instance, Adobe
Illustrator, an .ai file, PhotoShop, a .psd
file, and so on. Vector files work the best
for graphic reproduction, as you can save
them at any size and they can be enlarged
without any distortion or pixellation. That
is why it is extremely important to provide
us with the original file. However, please
do not take a low-resolution bitmap image
and export it out as an AI or EPS and think
that it will turn your artwork into a vector
file. It does absolutely nothing to improve
your artwork.
For a TIFF file, it is important to work your
files as close to the final output size as
much as possible. The closer your file is
to the final size, the lower the resolution
you need to save it becomes. Please do not
send an image that is used for letterhead
or business envelopes as a bitmap image at
a low resolution and expect that we will be
able to blow it up with successful results.
The smaller the image is, the higher the resolution
you need to save it as. Also, you cannot take
a low-resolution image and save it at a higher
resolution and expect this will correct the
problem. If your original artwork is of low
quality, increasing the dpi will not help
it. All it will do is increase the production
time and cost of completing your project.
We realize a large file is not always available
but we need to make you aware of the complications
in print quality that may occur as a result
from smaller files.

Sending
your files:
For compressed e-mail files it is better to
compress your files, we use Stuffit Deluxe
and can open a .sit or .sea file. We can also
access Zip files. We do not have disk doubler
and cannot open those compressed files unless
saved as a self extracting archive.
E-mail:(Limited
to 2 MB or smaller)
Some customers e-mail their work to us.
Be advised that there are limitations to
this method. It is best to compress a folder
containing all of your work with Stuffit,
this will keep the integrity of your files.
There is a limit to the file size that can
be sent to us intact. Sometimes the e-mailed
files arrive in a condition that we cannot
use or that we are not able to open. We
highly recommend that you overnight the
disks and artwork directly to our office
instead of using e-mail. Vector files e-mail
the best, always compress the files. Properly
sized raster files are usually too big to
e-mail with success. Please overnight everything
when possible. Also, please do not ask us
to go to your website and download your
logo. Almost all logos on the Internet are
GIF, and are not suitable for graphic reproduction.
Please speak to your Sales Rep before emailing
and they will provide you with our direct
email address.
